My Experience with StartWithGenesis
I have worked with StartWithGenesis for 4 months now, I feel comfortable to share my experience with them and why i think new comers should try StartWithGenesis ( a lot of people asked me after one of my linkedin post).
So first of all, what is StartWithGenesis?
A platform where you can get mentor driven internship on your favourite skills.
You will be onboarded by them, they will assign an experience developer with you to guide you & review your work, Only if you are beginner or Intermediate, otherwise you will guide someone (lol).
You will find a well defined, industry standard software development process, where there will be different resources for different job. you will be provided with different documents & assets, that will make the development easiier & smooth.
and Boom!! you have created a “industry level product”.
Note: They also provide challenge based learning masterclasses on several advanced technologies like Flutter, GraphQL, etc. I have also collabrated with them for providing a masterclass on Flutter (recorded videos are available on YouTube as well).
Now let’s talk about my experience with them.
I created my profile on StartWithGenesis portal and they found it matching with one of their open projects and asked if I would like to join.
I showed my intereset and fixed the work duration, project & the stipend offcourse.
Soon an email droped in profile saying “Invitation for working with StartWithGenisis” with an attached offical offer letter for joining. After accepting work starts, they provided me guidance and support wherever I stuck in development.
Since my internship was of backend development so we used to have hour-long calls regarding my queries, discussions of various feature implementation.
Everything was so fascinating for me that I learnt to think about very fine challenges while developing a real world application which will be used by millions in future.
Now the time to finish off the work arrived I accept it was a small delay but negotiable. I documented the whole code & pushed the changes.
Recieved my stipend + bonus (performance-based)
I ended up gaining some money and more importantly experience of working on a big real world application.
So I suggest you to give it a try!
The best thing I like about StartWithGenesis is that you just have to create a full profile on their portfolio and they will automatically contact you for a matching role other than applying for different projects/companies as of other platforms like internshala.
